10 Ways to Reduce Stress

#5 Learn to meditate. By meditating I mean to sit down in a comfortable position in a quiet area. Close your eyes and breath in through your nose, hold for 5 seconds, and out through your mouth for 5 seconds. You can think of a mantra you like or a prayer. Maybe thinking of all the things your grateful for. As you start noticing the benefits you can increase the duration. Maybe add some nice calming music and an essential oil diffused to really make the meditation effective. # 6 through #10 on the way! I hope the previous ideas have helped you be your best! Top 10 ways to Reduce Stress #3

Take a Vacation! Studies have shown that just the act of planning a vacation reduces stress and gives us something to look forward to. I like to call it my “Happy Place”! Think about where it is that really calls out to you. Is it beaches and oceans? Mountains? Solitude or do you prefer lots of people? Dream about what season you would like to vacation during. Research everything. If a vacation is not affordable now, total the cost and divide the amount for as long as you need to stay within your budget. Remember planning alone is effective enough! If it is a year, or two, or five years down the road, that’s OK!  Until then, close your eyes and dream of your “Happy Place” Visit http://www.theartisansoapcompany.com for some fabulous relaxing soaps.12390974_10204807562299048_7221542599278625103_n

10 Simple ways to Lower Stress

193e37_ec1e3cea0fda45cbaa37af244fc0071eHow are you managing your stress levels? You may be surprised to find your not doing very well. If that is the case this series will give you some ideas to consider in becoming your own kind of beautiful inside and out without the frazzled edges.

1. First things first! Let’s get this ball rolling in a big way everyday in my first exercise. Fill the air with your favorite and relaxing music and turn the lights down or light a candle. Take a good long hot soaking bath for no longer than 20 minutes using 100% Essential Oil soap from “The Artisan Soap Company” or by adding your own essential oil. Lavender is a great place to start since it is known to help relax and aid in sleep. 10 to 20 drops depending on how strong you like your scents. Pink Himalayan Salt is a terrific addition to assist in detoxifying as well as adding 84 trace minerals to your bath. One cup is plenty. This will improve blood circulation, sooth tired muscles,  and give you a really good nights sleep.  Repeat this process at least once a week to rejuvenate your body and spirit.
